Financial Data Analysts

  • 12 months contract – August start
  • Location – ACT, Onsite
  • Australian Citizens with current NV1 Clearance

Infinite Consulting is seeking experienced Financial Data Analysts for our esteemed Federal Government Client. This is an August start for an initial 12 months contract with 2x12 months further options to extend based on funding and approval.

About the Role:

As Financial Data Analysts, you will be responsible for the design, analysis and delivery of relevant, trusted and objective statistics and data-related insights. Key duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Support programs with financial management and procurement activities including resource and budget planning.
  • Track financial progress of projects by conducting monthly reviews of financial expenditure, budget reporting, forecasting analysis including accrual reporting.
  • Create reports, modelling, and trend forecasting including financial reporting.
  • Conduct statistical and financial modelling, including project accounting & cost estimation.
  • Invoice processing, purchase orders and maintaining financial journals.

Technical skills


• Bachelor of Accounting.
• Candidates working towards their CA, CPA or equivalent, with requisite accounting experience would be highly regarded.

Essential criteria:

  • Financial management - Provide general advice and guidance on financial planning, budgeting and accounting. Develop high-level financial plans and forecasts to guide organisational strategies and plans.
  • Budgeting and forecasting - Lead financial analysis activities, applying advanced techniques and tools. Develop and maintain complex financial models.
  • Financial analysis- Provide advice and guidance on recommended financial analysis practices. Present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders, linking financial performance to business outcomes.
  • Cost management - Develop and implement cost management processes and procedures, monitor actual performance against budget and identify variances.
