About You
We are seeking a Vertical Transportation Engineer to support OTIS sales teams with high-quality, compliant solutions.
This role will support the sales process with compliance expertise, knowledge of customer solutions and coordination with external vendors as required. This role is responsible for overseeing the solutions offered by sales and managing the smooth progress of orders towards certification.

- Reports to the Engineering Compliance Manager
As a Vertical Transportation Engineer, your key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the sales process with necessary oversight of the proposed solution and compliance implications
- Work closely with the Engineering team when necessary to advise on design aspects of solutions
- Identifying and advising on aspects of the solution that may require risk management
- Align understanding of customer requirements with compliance matters and be able to advise on appropriate solutions
- Support the preparation and submission of technical documentation as required
- Communicate technical and compliance aspects of the solution to Operations, as required
- Collaborate with marketing and engineering teams on product solution creation
- Identify process improvement opportunities within the compliance process and help to facilitate any change as necessary
- Be intellectually curious and use his/her experience and knowledge to bring to the attention of engineering new products; inventions; and ideas that can contribute to the technological and operational advancement of Otis
- Support the growth of our business at every opportunity
- Represent Otis with compliance and code organizations as required
What you will need to be successful
- Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronics or Electrical, or related qualifications
- Minimum 3 years' work experience within construction and/or design, with familiarity with CAD systems, engineering drawings, and documentation
- Existing Chartered or Registered Professional Engineers, or those meeting the criteri,a ready to apply for these accreditations, will be preferred.
- Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) Modelling would be advantageous.
- Proven experience within the Lift industry would be beneficial
- Confident decision-maker with strong problem-solving and stakeholder management skills
- Strength in simplifying the communication of complex technical concepts
- Proficient in using technology, including mobile applications and computer-based reporting systems (Word, Excel, Email, Internet, database management) to analyse data and trends
- Excellent English language communication skills, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated ability in balancing attention to detail, whilst managing time and customer expectations
