Are you a passionate Undergraduate Civil Engineering student ready to take the next step in your career journey? Council is offering a fantastic opportunity for a motivated student to join our team on a two year part time contract working 14 hours per week where you will gain hands on industry experience while receiving support towards your tuition fees.

To be eligible for this role you must

  • Be currently enrolled in a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering (Bachelor of Engineering)
  • Have already completed two full years of time study by the end of 2025
  • Have two years left of study as of 2026
  • Be achieving satisfactory academic results in your current undergraduate studies
  • Be able to demonstrate well developed interpersonal written and verbal communication skills
  • Be able to demonstrate the ability to multi task and prioritise work within an environment of competing demands
  • Have strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Word and Excel
  • Hold a current Class C unrestricted drivers licence

If you do not meet all of these criteria you will unfortunately not be considered for this opportunity.

As a member of our Development Services team you will work on real development and subdivision projects providing meaningful engineering input from day one. You will collaborate with experienced professionals build your technical skills and gain valuable insight into how local government operates.

*Remuneration*

Salary as per the Local Government (State) Award plus 12% superannuation
