Wilpinjong mine by Peabody Energy is a surface mine that produces high-quality thermal coal for domestic and export markets. Located in the Hunter Valley region of NSW, 50 km northeast of Mudgee, the mine is spread over 2,800 hectares and produced 12.6 million tons of coal in 2024.

About the Role

Skillset alongside Wilpinjong Mine, Peabody Energy are seeking applications for a new Warehousing Trainee in Mudgee NSW. This entry level role is a fantastic opportunity to gain some hands-on experience whilst learning from industry professionals and experts of the field while taking on a Certificate III in Supply Chain Operations over a 2-year period.

Duties

  • Pick and Pack Orders
  • Organise dispatches and invoicing
  • Utilise stock control processes and complete stocktakes
  • General Warehousing Duties

Skills and Experience

  • An interest in the Mining and Warehousing Industry
  • Experience in problem solving, adaptability and attention to detail
  • Physically fit and able to use safe manual handling techniques
  • Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical
  • Hold a Drivers Licence and have reliable transport to and from site
  • Hold a Forklift Licence or willing to obtain one prior to commencement
