About the Role

An established electronic security business is seeking an experienced Lead Security Technician to take ownership of installations, upgrades, and service work across Sydney's strata sector. This is a senior, hands-on role suited to a technician who can work autonomously, solve complex technical issues, and support junior staff.

Duties

  • Install, upgrade, and service Access Control, Intercom, and CCTV systems
  • Lead retrofit projects using existing cabling and infrastructure
  • Fault find and resolve complex technical issues
  • Attend daily service calls and complete works efficiently
  • Provide technical guidance to junior technicians and trade assistants
  • Liaise professionally with strata managers, building managers, and residents

Experience

  • Strong experience with Inner Range Integriti & Inception
  • Confident upgrading legacy access control systems (e.g. Tecom)
  • Extensive intercom upgrade experience using Bticino 2-Wire and Aiphone GT (IXG desirable)
  • CCTV experience with Dahua and Hikvision
  • Solid understanding of IP networking
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision
