Basis of employment: Permanent part time – 3 days/week
Location: Location negotiable – Melbourne, Bendigo, Torquay, Hobart or Launceston
Remuneration: Negotiated with preferred applicant but expected to be approximately $67,000 +12% superannuation (up to $75,000 salary package)

Who we are looking for
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented communications professional who can support the delivery of business and project communications to position RMCG as an industry leader and employer of choice. You'll work closely with our Communications Manager and project teams to help produce engaging, accurate and accessible content that showcases the work of our clients and the business.
You must have:
- Tertiary training in Communications. This could be a degree in Journalism or Marketing.
- Up to 5 years' experience in communications, ideally with exposure to the industries we work in and/or technical writing.
- A desire to have a positive impact on people and the environment.
Primary functions of the position
The primary functions of the position are to:
- Support the implementation of RMCG's Communications Plan and develop content for internal and external communication.
- Research, write and proofread diverse and sometimes complex content from across the business to promote the impact of our work clearly and succinctly. Writing examples include website articles, case studies and staff profiles.
- Create content for digital communication channels including social media, podcasts, videos, enewsletter and digital storytelling on websites.
- Contribute communications expertise and general project support to a range of consulting projects.
- Collaborate with the wider RMCG team to provide marketing and communications ideas and support, and encourage employee engagement and connectivity in this area.
- Coordinate RMCG presence at industry associated events, activities and initiatives.
Key selection criteria
Ideally, we are seeking a candidate who can demonstrate:
- Strong writing skills with experience in technical writing or science communication for different audiences and formats.
- Experience in developing digital media – and other tools such as communications and marketing campaigns – to build brand awareness.
- Experience using platforms such as Mailchimp, WordPress, Google Analytics, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, podcasting platforms and social media schedulers.
- Strong time management skills.
- Experience working with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
- The ability to work effectively in a team environment with a willingness to learn.
- Innovative thinking and ideas on how to build and promote RMCG's presence in current and new sectors of work.

Salary and conditions
The remuneration package for the position will be negotiated with the preferred applicant and dependent on knowledge and experience, however is expected to be approximately $67, % superannuation (up to $75,000 salary package)
