About the Role:

We are seeking a Cook to join our team at Avalon House on a full-time basis AND permanent basis.

You will be based at our Avalon home, located at 14 John Street, Avalon Beach, NSW 2107.

Your employment hours will be from Monday to Friday: 10:00 to 6:00PM (full time will be 5 x days per week & 2 x days per week for part-time) for the Cook Role.

We're also offering CHEF Role with employment hours from Saturday to Sunday: 06:30 to 2:30pm on a part-time basis.

This will be a permanent position, and you will work within an established, dynamic and efficient team. We are looking for enthusiastic candidates who has a positive attitude and are passionate to work with the elderly. This is a great opportunity to work in a growing industry and in a rewarding role.

Responsibilities for the role include;

• The preparation and presentation of high quality meals.

• Exceptional customer service and communication skills, with the ability to work well in a team.

• Lead the team when the Head Chef is absent.

• Commitment to providing quality services to residents.

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

• Maintain food safety standards at all times

• Maintain food safety records

Skills and experience required;

• Certificate III in commercial cookery

• Experience as a chef/cook in commercial environment

• Sound knowledge of food safety standards and practice.
