Monash Vale Early Learning Center & Kindergarten Service is a family-owned and operated service for 29 years. We are committed to forming relationships with our families and educators and to providing high-quality teaching and learning through which children can thrive.

Our service has been rated "Exceeding" in all areas in our past two assessments and rating, we have received National Award for Science project by Little Scientist and our Director Anna was a finalist for the Victorian Early Childhood Awards

What can we offer you

• Opportunity casual or part-time (up to 38hrs/week) with the opportunity to move to full-time
• Flexible rostering: We understand the ups and downs that life can bring for our team who have families, studies or need that mental health day? We have weekly rosters and work with our team on their needs as well. We work with our educators to embed consistency for children and families working with you in which age group you are enjoying nurturing and learning with.
• Wellness and support: In supporting our program and mental health of our team of educators we run fortnightly mental health initiatives for staff This can be from onsite massages, breakfasts, lunches, wellness packs and more. We have a dedicated mental health leader working on different ideas to ensure the wellbeing of our team We often organise team events such dinner and social gatherings over the year.
• Program and planning: At our service, we have our own curriculum and documentation developed over 5 years. We have worked critically to ensure our program is focused on quality rather than quantity providing resources and PD for our team. We provide additional programming for our team to ensure a work-life balance.
• Additional programs for children: Within our service we are excited to offer different learning opportunities for children from Literacy classes, Art Classes, Science labs, Music and LOTE Mandarin program and Sports program for children.
• Center Wide Events: As part of embracing culture and events, we host fun events for children and the team as well as focus on Children's voices through Children's choice day.
• Additional support: We have a daily cleaner that attends our service to ensure our team is focused on the children and their learning.
• Multicultural: Our service is in the heart of Clayton, and we are lucky to have so many members of our team and children from all over the world. We thrive on embracing our cultures and diversities. Alongside we run a LOTE Mandarin program from our Nursery to Pre-School rooms.
• Experience: We are unbelievably proud of our team and educators who have been working with our service over the years. From educators who have attended our service as a child to educators working with us for over 14 years. We are blessed with a beautiful positive team and environment who have kind, fun and have the biggest heart for the children in our care. Within our service, there is no top-down corporate management just our leadership team with our 30 years experience.
• Leadership opportunities: We believe in democratic leadership and that the best decisions are made for children when made together. We have several important Leadership opportunities for children's well-being and help build our team's passions. From our educators loving art and developing their own art programs to educators passionate about literacy running our centre library etc, we focus on building our team's skills and passions.

What do we need?

We are looking for someone experienced in long day care who understands the ins and outs of the role. Someone who loves their job and is passionate and excited about opportunities to work with children, enjoying sharing and building this with others.

You must have a Police Check from this year, a valid working with children check and at least 2 referee to contact.

-Strong knowledge and understanding of EYLF and new NQS.

-Strong written and verbal communication skills.

-Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

-Experience in developing and implementing an educational program and achieving quality learning outcomes.

-Ability to ensure compliance with routines, policies, processes and practices.

-Experience in using Story park

-Confidence and leadership ability.

-The passion to take ownership of your role and make a positive contribution to a supportive and collaborative team
