Platform Lead | Azure | Integration & Cloud Architecture | Docklands | 3-4 Days in Office

Are you a senior developer ready to take the next step into technical leadership? Or an existing lead looking for a new challenge where you can stay hands-on? We are seeking a
Platform Lead
to take ownership of our integration and application landscape, driving technical direction while solving complex cloud and integration challenges.

This is a role for someone who thrives at the intersection of
deep technical problem solving and leadership
where you can influence architecture at scale while mentoring others and staying close to the code.

What you'll do:

  • Lead the design, development, and optimisation of our integration platform and core applications
  • Work hands-on with Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Event Grid, API Management, Cosmos DB and other cloud services
  • Define and implement modern integration patterns (synchronous/asynchronous, pub/sub, request/response)
  • Deliver reliable, scalable, and secure solutions using microservices and event-driven architectures
  • Mentor engineers, set technical standards, and guide best practices
  • Partner with vendors and stakeholders to deliver high-impact platform initiatives
  • Troubleshoot and design solutions for complex integration challenges

What you bring:

  • Strong technical expertise in Azure services and cloud-native architecture
  • Experience applying integration design patterns (point-to-point, hub-and-spoke, loose coupling, idempotency)
  • Hands-on background in microservices, APIs, and event-driven systems
  • Proven ability to integrate legacy on-premises systems with cloud platforms
  • Proficiency in modern development stacks (C#, .NET, Java, , or similar)
  • Solid CI/CD, DevOps, and containerisation skills (Azure DevOps, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform)
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and technical leadership skills
