About the Role
We're seeking an experienced and strategic people manager to lead a team of Lending Managers within a phone-based environment. Reporting to the National Manager, this leadership role is instrumental in driving lending performance, operational excellence, and member satisfaction across the First Party Lending Channel.
You'll bring your deep lending knowledge to coach and mentor your team, manage call queue performance, and ensure consistent delivery of high-quality financial solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coach a team of Lending Managers to exceed lending, sales, service, and compliance KPIs
- Oversee call queue management, service levels, and member satisfaction
- Apply deep lending expertise to support complex member needs and guide team decision-making
- Embed a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement across the team
- Champion a proactive sales and service culture focused on member-centric lending solutions
- Ensure compliance with lending regulations, risk frameworks, and governance standards
- Manage service delivery across multiple lending channels, ensuring consistency and quality
- Implement strategic workforce planning and optimise resource allocation using data-driven forecasting
- Respond to complaints and incidents with root cause analysis and effective resolution planning
About You
You're a confident and influential leader with a strong foundation in lending and a passion for people development. You thrive in a fast-paced contact centre environment and bring clarity, energy, and strategic thinking to your team. You're a trusted coach, a skilled communicator, and a lending expert who leads by example and inspires high performance.
Skills and Experience
- 2+ years' experience in a Sales Leadership role within Lending
- Strong understanding of lending products, credit policy, and regulatory compliance
- Ability to manage call queue performance
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills across diverse audiences
- Strategic thinker with exceptional organisational and time management skills
- Strong relationship builder with well-developed influencing and people management capabilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Self-starter with a "can do" attitude and a passion for continuous improvement
- FSR Tier 2 Accreditation
