About the role

• $151,689 – $162, % super + 17.5% annual leave loading + 5 additional days health/wellbeing leave

Working within the Marketing and Communications Directorate, the Head of Philanthropy will be a visionary and strategic leader responsible for growing Our Watch's philanthropic income and partnerships. This is a key role in advancing our strategic impact, working alongside the Director of Marketing, Communications and Philanthropy, the CEO, Executive Team and Board to inspire investment in lasting social impact. You will shape and deliver Our Watch's philanthropic strategy, cultivate and steward major donors, foundations and high-net-worth individuals, and build a strong culture of philanthropy across the organisation. This is an exceptional opportunity to establish and grow a national philanthropic function that directly contributes to ending violence against women.

About you

You are a seasoned philanthropy or fundraising professional who combines strategic thinking with exceptional relationship skills. You bring:

• Proven success in developing and implementing philanthropic or major donor strategies.
• Experience cultivating high-value partnerships with donors, trusts, and foundations.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams.
• Outstanding communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• A passion for gender equality and social justice, and a commitment to Our Watch's vision.

Experience in the prevention of violence against women or gender equality is desirable but not essential.
