Aged Care Personal Care Attendants (PCA)

Injilinji Aged Care (the Corporation) is a Residential Aged Care facility that has, since March 2005, provided delivery of a flexible service for frail aged Indigenous people in Mount Isa.

Injilinji is seeking applications for the role of Personal Care Attendants, in both permanent and casual capacity.

Role Description:

Our PCA staff are the people who we trust to provide the very best quality safe personal care to all our residents, supporting them to live healthy, enriching and meaningful lives, promoting resident dignity, physical, emotional and social wellbeing.

Key Duties:

Assist in the planning and provision of direct care services to residents, including:

  • personal hygiene and personal care duties.
  • cleaning
  • laundering of clothes and linen
  • minor maintenance of equipment or goods

Support residents in their activities of daily living maintaining constant regard to duty of care and residents' rights.

PCAs working in Aged Care are responsible for writing progress notes and completing reporting and documentation based on the Corporation's policies and procedures

Rostered Shifts are available for morning, afternoon and night duty – the Corporation is particularly seeking reliable candidates with the availability and flexibility to work weekdays AND weekends as required.

  • Injilinji Aged Care may conduct additional background checks subject to current legislation.

Requirements

  • Minimum Certificate 3 in Aged Care (mandatory)
  • Current flu and both covid-19 vaccinations
  • Current Police Check (National Police Certificate) – (mandatory)
  • Current 'C' Class Driver's License.
