DB Schenker is seeking an experienced Warehouse Team Leader to join our busy logistics and freight forwarding team. This role is critical in overseeing daily operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and leading a high-performing team in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily activities of logistics and freight forwarding team members.
  • Ensure timely dispatch of orders and accurate reporting.
  • Determine priorities and implement efficient processes aligned with customer guidelines.
  • Maintain clear communication across all levels and involve the team in meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with GDP and GWP for pharmaceutical goods and keep the GDP manual updated.
  • Provide training, guidance, and direction to staff.
  • Operate a forklift in the bonded freight forwarding warehouse and supervise forklift operators.
  • Ensure compliance with TAPA, RACA, and DOTAR requirements for export air shipments.
  • Build export freight pallets, manage break bulk, and store freight appropriately.
  • Load/unload air and ocean freight containers and ensure safe handling to minimize loss or damage.
  • Complete weekly bond checks and ensure accurate export lodgement to airlines.
  • Liaise with the Export Department on equipment and loading requirements.
  • Follow all Dangerous Goods handling procedures correctly.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong customer service and communication skills (oral and written).
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and compliance standards.
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills.
  • Accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
  • Team management and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of WMS and warehouse systems; healthcare industry experience preferred.
  • Previous warehouse and administration experience.
  • Supervisory experience (2–3 years in a similar role).
  • 2–3 years freight forwarding warehouse experience preferred.
  • RACA 1, 2/3 Certification and Dangerous Goods certification.
  • Understanding of customs protocols and procedures.
