Key responsibilities
  • Plan and prepare nutritious meals and snacks for children, in line with approved menus and dietary requirements.
  • Ensure food is prepared and served in accordance with food safety standards and service policies.
  • Maintain kitchen hygiene and complete cleaning routines.
  • Manage food purchasing, deliveries, and stock control within budget.
  • Record and monitor food storage and temperature checks.
  • Work collaboratively with the early learning team to support the overall wellbeing of children.
About you
  • Relevant qualifications and/or experience in food preparation.
  • Knowledge of food handling and food safety guidelines.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • A team player with excellent interpersonal skills, especially with children and co-workers.
  • Commitment to maintaining health and safety practices.
What we offer you
  • Base salary between $61,246.57 and $62,453.78 pro rata (dependent on skills and experience % superannuation.
  • The role is ongoing and part-time (21 hours per week). The work pattern is Mondays: 8:00am – 1:00pm, and Tuesdays to Fridays 9:00am – 1:00pm.
