About the Job

As a Principal in Barrenjoey's Structured Finance division within Corporate Finance, you will play a key role in executing high-profile mandates and supporting a broad range of client engagements across Securitization and Debt Capital Markets.

Our team partners with clients on a diverse array of financial products, including public and private debt financings, portfolio acquisitions, and debt advisory. In this role, you'll be involved in every stage of the transaction lifecycle, with a particular focus on preparing presentations, drafting term sheets, building and reviewing financial models, and commenting on legal documentation and ratings reports.

Based in Sydney, you will work within a collaborative team that spans Structured Finance, Debt Capital Markets, and Advisory. About You

  • 3-4 years of prior experience in securitization, structured finance, or a related field
  • Strong technical, modelling, legal, quantitative and written and verbal communication skills
  • Deep understanding of a securitization transaction lifecycle and the steps involved in the process as well a strong understanding of debt capital markets processes
  • Execution focused with strong communication skills and the ability to interact with other internal team members, client and other key stakeholders in the transaction lifecycle
  • Self-starter with a curious mindset, strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to work independently when required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Finance or related discipline
