About the role

ProLift Trucks Pty Ltd is seeking a talented Forklift Technician/Motor Mechanic to join our team in Narellan, NSW. This full-time position is crucial in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our fleet of forklifts and other material handling equipment. As a key member of our Automotive Trades team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive maintenance and repair services to keep our clients' businesses running smoothly.

What we're looking for

  2. Must be a good and reliable mechanic that takes pride in their work, that wants to have good hard go and elevate their mechanical aptitude.
  3. Formal qualifications in Automotive Mechanics or a related field
  4. Proven experience as a Forklift Technician or Motor Mechanic, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting
  5. Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly identify and resolve equipment issues
  6. Excellent communication skills to liaise with clients and collaborate within a team
  7. Commitment to workplace safety and a keen eye for detail
  8. A valid driver's licence and the ability to obtain a forklift licence

What you'll be doing

  1. Diagnose and repair issues with forklift trucks, including engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and electrical systems
  2. Perform scheduled maintenance on forklifts and other material handling equipment
  3. Conduct pre-operational inspections and address any identified problems
  4. Collaborate with the operations team to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimise downtime
  5. Maintain detailed records of all repair and maintenance activities
  6. Provide exceptional customer service and technical support to our clients
  7. Daily time keeping
