Contract Product Manager – Platform Migration

12-month contract (strong likelyhood of extension) | $800/day + super | Sydney (hybrid)

This role is ideal for a product manager who enjoys ambiguity early in the build lifecycle. The team is scoping a large-scale infrastructure migration to support a healthcare payments platform used by thousands of practitioners. Your job is to help define the product impact, manage stakeholders and keep the work aligned to broader strategy.

It's a newly formed team with a clear mandate, shift critical services to a modern cloud environment while improving the platform's stability, scalability and potential for new features.

You'll work partly from South Eveleigh (around two days per week) alongside engineering and solution design leads.

What the role involves:

  • Leading product work in an infrastructure-heavy environment
  • Engaging technical and non-technical stakeholders to align priorities
  • Scoping user and business impact of platform migration
  • Supporting early-stage planning, trade-offs and decisions

You'll bring:

  • Experience managing products during technical or cloud migrations
  • Strong communication skills across technical and business domains
  • Comfort working in a lightly defined structure with evolving delivery plans
  • The ability to find product opportunities in infrastructure change

The team:

  • Early-stage, currently 6–7 people (BAs, PMs, engineers, architect)
  • Reporting to a product owner, with shared planning and delivery

Contract details:

  • Daily rate: $800 + super
  • Duration: 12 months
  • Hybrid: 50% onsite at South Eveleigh
