Utilizing advanced technologies and broader engineering expertise, CQE delivers industry-leading quality.
CQE seek 1st Year Apprentice Vehicle Body Builders to join the CQE team, at our purpose-built facility located in Bibra Lake WA.
The successful applicant will enjoy a safe and cohesive working environment, whilst learning a complete set of skills associated with the quality manufacture of a diverse range of transport equipment.
As an Apprentice Vehicle Body Builder your learning journey will include:
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Fabricating a diverse range of custom transport equipment.
- Repairing, modifying and maintaining used equipment.
- Heavy mechanical fitting and repair duties including air brake components, hydraulics, pneumatic, electrical and general hardware/accessories.
- General skills associated with heavy automotive abrasive blasting and painting practices.
- Various skills required to start a successful career in the heavy vehicle manufacturing industry.
In return, the Successful Candidate will be offered:
- Stable employment with a well-established Western Australian founded business with over two decades of experience specialising in the design and manufacture of quality transport equipment.
- Certificate III in Automotive Manufacturing Technical Operations - Bus, Truck and Trailer (Vehicle Body Builder trade), at successful completion of apprenticeship training and period.
- Reliable working hours, paid weekly.
- Laundered Uniforms (upon completion of the employment probation period).
Skills & Experience required:
- Show strong interest in metal and automotive skills.
- A basic level of experience working with hand and power tools.
- *Completion of a pre-apprenticeship is an advantage though not essential.
- Have a current C Class Drivers License and reliable Transport.
- Be self-starting and well organised, whilst being able to contribute to a safe, friendly and "Can Do" work environment.
