Support Workers – Bunbury

Seeking passionate and reliable support worker for flexible casual/ part-time position in Bunbury.

  • Work within a small dedicated and supportive team
  • Work closely with people living with a disability, their family and the local community
  • Competitive remuneration including salary packaging to a maximum of $18,550

SensesWA is a leading not-for-profit organisation with over 126 years' history in providing disability services in Western Australia. Our purpose is to build capacity by providing comprehensive services, specialising in sensory loss, positive behaviour support and children's therapies.

We are currently seeking passionate and aspiring Support Worker to support our clients mainly male clients and young age group to engage in new experiences, establish community connections, develop independent living skills and reach their personal goals.

At SensesWA, we focus on offering targeted training so we can seamlessly match a person with a disability with the right support worker.

Essential Criteria:


• Be comfortable working with a diverse range of ages, disabilities and behaviours;


• Have a genuine passion and commitment to making a difference to the lives of people with disability;


• Possess a high level of trust, honesty and integrity and be able to maintain a professional relationship with all participants;


• Be computer and mobile phone savvy in order to access work emails and web-based applications such as rosters, case notes and incident reports;


• Have a current 'Provide First Aid' certificate (or be willing to obtain before start date).


• Hold a current Working With Children check (or be willing to obtain before start date);


• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check; and


• Have a current Full Australian Driver's License and a comprehensibly insured vehicle.

Desirable Criteria:


• An ability to provide personal care to people who need it, including support with Personal Hygiene including bowel care, dressing and hoisting;


• Willingness to undergo various related paid training as provided by the organisation;


• Certificate III or IV in Disability.
