About the role

As a Storeman/Sales Assistant at Whyalla Tiles & Hardware, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our busy warehouse and retail store. This casual position offers flexibility and the opportunity to be part of a dynamic team.

What you'll be doing

  • Receiving and processing incoming stock deliveries
  • Maintaining accurate inventory records and stock levels
  • Assisting customers with product selection and providing excellent customer service
  • Replenishing and arranging stock on the sales floor
  • Performing general warehouse and retail duties as required

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience in a similar storeman or sales assistant role, preferably in the hardware or building supplies industry
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment
  • Good problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Forklift licence or the willingness to obtain one
