Full-Time Interstate Furniture Delivery Driver (MR Licence)

We are an Australian online furniture company based in Melbourne with warehousing operations in Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane. We specialise in modular, high-quality furniture, delivering across Australia with a focus on service, efficiency, and care.

We're seeking a reliable and competent Interstate Delivery Driver to join our growing logistics team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys being on the road, takes pride in safe and timely deliveries, and values working independently with the support of a tight-knit team.

About the Role

This is a hands-on delivery and logistics position, with the majority of your time spent on the road delivering furniture interstate, and some time assisting with basic warehouse operations at our Melbourne base.

You'll be responsible for completing interstate delivery runs — primarily between Melbourne, Sydney, and Adelaide — with occasional trips to Brisbane.

Vehicles you will be operating:

  • 8m MR (45m³) Pantech
  • 9.8m MR (60m³) Pantech

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely drive and operate Medium Rigid (MR) vehicles on interstate routes
  • Load and unload modular furniture boxes (approx. 1m x 1m x 0.6m, ~30kg each)
  • Complete 10–20 deliveries per run (mostly two-door deliveries)
  • Conduct stock transfers between warehouses during return trips
  • Represent Banana Home with professionalism, care, and respect on every delivery
  • Maintain delivery records, inspect vehicle condition, and assist with basic warehouse tasks when required

Example Work Schedule

  • Week 1: Melbourne → Sydney (via Hume Hwy), deliver in Sydney Metro, return to Melbourne mid-week
  • Week 2: Melbourne → Adelaide, deliver in Adelaide Metro, return mid-week
  • Week 3: Melbourne → Sydney (same route)
  • Week 4: Melbourne → Sydney (same route)
  • Optional: Longer runs to Brisbane (if comfortable with extended driving hours)

About You

  • MR licence (minimum requirement)
  • Clean driving record
  • Physically fit and capable of handling light-to-medium freight (up to 30–40kg)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Comfortable working independently and managing delivery routes
  • Experience in interstate delivery or furniture transport preferred
