Job Description

Gameloft Brisbane, in partnership with Screen Queensland, is offering an exciting internship opportunity for an aspiring game developer living in Far North Queensland.
We're on the lookout for emerging talent to join our fun, collaborative, and creative team in Brisbane. Whether you're drawn to Art, Game Design, Programming, or UI/UX, this is your chance to gain real-world experience at a global games studio and contribute to live projects alongside experienced mentors.
This opportunity is designed specifically for true emerging talent—those who haven't yet worked in the games industry but are keen to get their foot in the door.
As a Game Development Intern, you'll be part of a project team with real responsibilities, contributing to the design, quality, and creative direction of a game currently in development. This is a 9-month, full-time paid internship designed to give you the experience and support you need to kickstart your career.
Please Note: This Internship is a fulltime position based in our Brisbane Studio for someone who is currently residing in Far North Queensland.
Qualifications
What We're Looking For:
We're seeking someone who is:
- Has recently completed a qualification, or self-taught in Game Development, Computer Science, Graphic Design, or Interaction Design.
- At the beginning of their career journey, with no prior experience working in the games industry.
- Passionate about games and eager to grow in a supportive studio environment.
- A clear communicator and team player.
- Curious, creative, and motivated.
- Comfortable using industry-standard tools.
- Strong in both creative thinking and problem-solving.
Eligibility:
To apply, you must be a resident of Far North Queensland, as defined in Screen Queensland's Terms of Trade and detailed in this regional map.
To be eligible for this internship you must reside in one of the following regions of Far North Queensland: Charters Towers Regional, Burdekin Shire, Townsville, Hinchinbrook Shire, Burke Shire, Carpentaria Shire, Croydon Shire, Etheridge Shire, Mareeba Shire, Tablelands Regional, Cassowary Coast Regional, Cairns, Douglas Shire, Cook Shire or Torres Shire.
