The Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. This role involves precision work in flooring installation and related timber structures, ensuring every project meets our high standards of quality and finish.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Interpret plans and specifications to determine materials, dimensions, and installation methods
- Prepare layouts, measure accurately, and cut timber and flooring components
- Assemble and install sub-flooring, floorboards, trims, and skirting with attention to detail
- Fit door and window frames, fascia panels, and other timber fixtures to complement flooring installations
- Construct frameworks and formwork where required for flooring bases
- Repair and refurbish existing timber floors and fittings
- Work with a variety of materials including solid timber, laminates, engineered boards, and hybrid flooring products
- Maintain compliance with safety standards and ensure quality workmanship on every project
Requirements
- At least Certificate III in Carpentry, or equivalent trade qualification
- Minimum 2 years experience in carpentry and flooring installation
- Work experience in large scale and commercial projects is desirable
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Construction White Card and relevant safety certifications
- Current driver's licence and reliable transport
