Shared Living Advisor - Full-Time Temporary 12 Month Position

About the role

This position will assist our Service Coordinators and Mentors in managing Shared Living Arrangements within their designated teams.

The Shared Living Advisor will be tasked with ensuring that our existing shared living support services meet Avivo's quality standards and requirements. Additionally, they will contribute to the development and implementation of strategies aimed at expanding and improving our shared living services, offering diverse options to support individuals in sharing their homes.

Duties include

• Supporting and guiding Service Coordinators and staff in delivering shared living services, including attending stakeholder meetings and assisting with home visits or reviews.
• Collaborating with customers, families, funders, peer providers, and other stakeholders to enhance service delivery and build partnerships.
• Promoting continuous improvement by utilizing feedback from customers and colleagues to drive service enhancements.
• Ensuring compliance with regulations and quality standards, upholding Avivo's reputation in shared living services.
• Exploring innovative service offerings and researching new shared living models to meet the diverse needs of Avivo's customers.
• Conducting market research to identify opportunities for innovation and growth.

Selection criteria

• Previous experience / background in Individual Living Options (ILO) arrangements (essential)
• A background in supporting self-directed services and individualized service designs
• Certificate IV in Disability, Aged Care, Mental Health (or working towards)
• Previous experience in supporting and coordination of teams
• Demonstrates ability to work as a supportive leader, with ability to coach and resource others' development
• Knowledge and understanding of disability, aged care and/or mental health sectors and demonstrates contemporary professional knowledge, values, and practice
• A commitment to continuous improvement and innovation in service delivery
• Understanding and commitment to working with communities to welcome and include all people as valued citizens
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with stakeholder engagement abilities
• Strong IT skills including ability to use portals, systems, and document relevant information
