Provide expert advice and leadership to drive policy and financial outcomes
The Social Policy and Industry Policy teams partner with Queensland Government agencies to deliver expert, cross-cutting advice across financial, budget and related policy issues. As a Director, you will work closely with senior executives to resolve complex issues and drive innovation in financial and budget strategy and public policy development. Roles are available across a number of levels and policy areas.
In this role, you will:
• Lead the delivery of strategic, risk-based financial and policy advice
• Guide stakeholder relationships across government and influence outcomes
• Oversee the development and implementation of financial and non-financial performance reports
• Prepare high-level briefings, reports, presentations and policy submissions
• Represent Treasury in cross-government committees and ministerial briefings
• Drive team strategies aligned with Treasury's priorities
What experience you will bring:
• Proven leadership in providing financial, budgetary and/or policy advice
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
• The ability to manage complexity and influence decisions
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Confidence in high-pressure environments and executive settings
• Effective judgement, communication and understanding of different perspectives in developing solutions and working with others.
Whilst there are no mandatory qualifications needed for this role, relevant qualifications will be highly regarded.
