This is a full-time on-site role for an IT Infrastructure Engineer(DBA/MW) at Hyundai Autoever Australia.

Technical Tasks/Responsibilities

DBA

l  Support DBMS installation, configuration, and operation.

l  Provide a seamless flow of information by keeping the database running smoothly.

l  Monitor and analyze DBMS performance to ensure safe and reliable operation.

l  Ensure data security and integrity, including implementation of access controls, backups and recovery plans.

l  Execute disaster recovery plans and procedures to ensure database availability during system outages or dysfunction.

l  Minimize database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses.

l  Determine, enforce and document database policies, procedures and standards.

l  Optimize database performance and efficiency by evaluating and recommending new database technologies.

l  Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy and integrity.

l  Monitor database performance, implement changes, and apply new patches and versions when required.

l  Some weekend work is required.

MW

l  Support Web server and Web Application Server (WAS) installation, configuration, and operation.

l  Monitor and analyze Web server/WAS performance to ensure safe and reliable operation.

l  Manage application server solutions, address connectivity issues and service disruptions, and establish and maintain disaster recovery plans.

l  Design, install, configure, and maintain Web servers (Apache web servers, Nginx, IIS).

l  Design, install, configure, and maintain Application servers (Tomcat).

l  Identify improvement areas on the application servers and perform tuning for all the above systems.

l  Develop and maintain documentation of the above systems architecture.

l  Perform after-hours implementations, maintenance, and problem resolution as required. Some weekend work is required.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Software, IT, Electric or any related field
  • 3+ years of experience ~ 6 Years in IT Database Administration.
  • Strong knowledge of database management systems, such as Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Need a basic understanding of infrastructure (Server, Network, Middleware, Database, etc.)
  • Australian driving license with a good record and experience is essential
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with our customers, partners and Head office in South Korea (Korean speaking is an advantage but not essential)
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task, manage and prioritise a varied workload
  • Some weekend work and overtime work is required.
  • Business travel required across the Sydney area or abroad in New Zealand
  • All candidates must provide evidence to show the right to work in Australia.
  • The ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Leading & coaching the small team if you are a manager or senior level.
  • Report to country manager

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience administering high volume web applications on Apache web servers, Nginx, IIS and Tomcat.
  • Experience with open source technologies
