Immediate Start

Primary Duties

  • Picking and packing orders
  • Experience with Shopify
  • Maintaining accurate warehouse inventory
  • Answering calls from customers and assisting with queries regarding stock  and other services
  • Bookkeeping using Xero
  • Management of the website, Creating sales; managing reviews; sending out newsletters; managing Google and FB ads and expenditure.

About You

  • Detail oriented and able to multitask and work independently at a fast pace.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Initiative for continuous improvement and strong problem-solving skills
  • Must be reliable, consistent and take ownership and responsibility of your role
  • Comfortable with technology, good computer literacy and can learn new procedures quickly
  • Excellent communication both verbal and written
  • Experience with Shopify, Google Ads or other Warehouse Management Systems a plus
  • Drivers licence holder

The position involves a lot of flexibility and some of the work can be done from home.

The successful applicant to take ownership of the duties involved in the business and treat it like it is their own business. The business warehouse is located at 48 Corella Road Gympie and the applicant must fit in with the rest of the team of Bamboo Textiles who operate from the same location. The applicant should also live in or around Gympie to have reduced travel time to and from work. Skills like basic bookkeeping, considerable computer skills, using Excel spreadsheets and some IT competencies are highly valued for this position. Previous experience in retail is also an advantage.

Operating a  successful online store is much more complicated than most people expect and considerable on-the-job training will be required over several weeks before you can feel 'you know the ropes', therefore we look for a basic commitment to a stable, long-term engagement with us.
