We are currently seeking a Logistics Officer to join our team.

In this role you will assist the Stores department to order, receive, handle, sort and dispatch goods.

This is a permanent full time salaried role, Monday to Friday 40 hour week, with occasional Saturday work.

Your responsibilities (not limited to):

  • Receiving, scanning, sorting and placing incoming goods on shelves
  • Maintaining accurate records of inventory and stock levels
  • Picking and packing orders accurately and efficiently
  • Unloading and loading of containers/vehicles of goods both inwards and outwards
  • Operating computer systems to obtain details of stock quantity and location
  • Operating machinery such as a forklift to lift, place and remove items
  • Performing regular stock takes to ensure inventory accuracy
  • Conducting regular quality checks to ensure product integrity
  • Maintaining a clean and organised warehouse environment
  • Working in accordance with strict Work Health and Safety guidelines
  • Other duties to assist the team as required.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Proven relevant experience or similar role
  • Familiarity with inventory management software (considered an advantage)
  • Basic work exposure to inventory management systems and processes
  • Proactiveness and willingness to learn
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of attention to detail and excellent time management skills
  • Experience with computer programs (Microsoft Word and Excel)
  • Intermediate computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • The ability to multitask, work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical fitness and the ability to lift and carry up to 15 kgs
  • Current driver's license
  • A Forklift license (or experience and willingness to obtain)
  • Valid Visa with unlimited work rights.
