Our Company

Mackie Electric & Refrigeration are located on the Mid North Coast with offices/showrooms in Port Macquarie & Taree employing 60+ staff. We require a self motivated talented Solar Electrician to join our Taree team as we continue to expand. Mackies was established in 1953, and are a family company offering a range of services to our clients.

Roles & Responsibilities:

We are currently seeking a qualified and motivated Solar Electrician with over 1 year of hands-on experience in residential/commercial solar & battery installation desirable. You'll work across the Mid North Coast area installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting solar PV systems.


• Install and Commission PV Solar Systems


• Install & Commission Battery Energy Storage Systems


• Supervise and support electrical apprentices to ensure quality and compliance with standards


• Install and Commission EV Chargers


• Perform safe and professional residential electrical works. (Switchboard upgrades)

Ideally You the Technician will have the following:


• Valid NSW Electrical Licence


• At least 1 year of experience in solar PV installations


• Working at Heights Certificate


• White Card (Construction Induction Card)


• SAA Accreditation in Solar PV


• SAA Accreditation in Battery Installation (Desirable)


• Full Australian Driver's Licence


• Ability to work independently and in a team


• Strong attention to detail and a safety-first mindset


• Great customer service & communication skills
