We are seeking an experienced and passionate educator to lead our Student Futures & Growth program — supporting academic achievement, wellbeing, and career development for students in Years 7–12.

Working closely with the Director of Teaching and Learning and Head/s of School the role combines educational guidance, wellbeing support, and career development, fostering each student's confidence, resilience, and readiness for life beyond school.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced educator and mentor with a passion for student development and lifelong learning.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide personalised career, wellbeing, and academic counselling
  • Guide students and families through subject selection and tertiary pathways
  • Support study skills, goal setting, and personal development initiatives.
  • Coordinate VET programs, university applications, and industry partnerships
  • Develop partnerships with universities, employers, and training providers.
  • Coordinate work placements, traineeships, and apprenticeship programs.
  • Support students with career readiness, employability, and wellbeing initiatives
  • Lead engaging programs that prepare students for life beyond school

About you:

  • Hold full Tasmanian teacher registration (or the ability to obtain)
  • Postgraduate qualification in Education and/or Careers Counselling
  • Proven experience in student guidance, wellbeing or career education within a school setting
  • Strong interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills
  • Knowledge of TASC, VET, and tertiary systems
  • Committed to the values of Courage, Integrity and Compassion
