About the Role:

We are currently seeking a motivated, enthusiastic internal salesperson to join our Statewide Bearings team in Mackay QLD

If you have experience with bearings, a background in trade sales, or a strong mechanical aptitude, this could be the role for you.

This is a full-time position that offers excellent career prospects working alongside a highly motivated team. As an Internal Sales team member, you will report to the Mackay Branch Manager and play a vital role in our internal sales operations.

In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for customers, assisting with over the counter, email, and phone enquiries. You'll also be responsible for promoting the full range of SWB Group products and services while providing an exceptional level of customer service and satisfaction to all SWB customers and internal stakeholders.

This position offers an attractive salary and bonus package following the successful completion of the probation period.

Your main duties/key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Front counter sales.
  • Manage all internal sales enquiries from customers (telephone and email).
  • Processing orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Providing exceptional customer service both in-store and over the phone.
  • Develop strong relationships with customers and demonstrate how we can add value to their business.
  • Fulfilling customer requirements through picking and packing.
  • Assisting with general warehouse duties as needed.
  • Working with the team to ensure accuracy and our high standards of service are maintained, while complying with our OH&S policies.

To be successful in the role you will need:

  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Previous sales experience in the bearing or similar industry would be most valuable but not essential.
  • Strong numeracy & literacy skills.
  • Computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Office.
  • A strong customer service focus.
  • Be self – motivated, highly organised with excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work as a part of a team.
  • The desire to develop your current knowledge and skills.
  • An ability to engage with people and build rapport.
  • To be driven to meet sales targets and work in a highly successful team.
