GIS UX/UI Designer/Developer

Join a dynamic team shaping the future of digital environmental data access. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate GIS UX/UI Designer/Developer to craft visually stunning, user-centric interfaces that enhance the accessibility of spatial and scientific data. Your work will directly contribute to tools that support environmental protection and informed decision-making.

Location: ACT, NSW, QLD, VIC & WA

Key Duties:

  • Design user interfaces for web apps and geospatial platforms (e.g., ArcGIS, ESRI)
  • Create responsive, accessible designs following WCAG standards
  • Develop wireframes, prototypes, and mock-ups to communicate UI concepts
  • Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to ensure user-first, feasible designs

Key Criteria:

  • 5+ years in human-centred service design with DTA's Digital Service Standard knowledge
  • Qualifications in UX/UI design or similar field
  • Skilled in co-design workshops and design thinking practices
  • Proven ability to create service design artefacts showing current/future states
