love and hope with no steps is a registered NDIS provider based in Greenacre. We deliver personalised disability support including daily living assistance, community participation, and life skills training. Our mission is simple: "Love in every step, hope in every heart." About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Disability Support Worker to support a male client in Villawood, NSW. The role involves assistance with daily living, domestic tasks, community access, and transport to appointments.

You will provide respectful, person-centred care with an understanding of mental health and cultural needs. This role requires use of your own vehicle to transport the client (all kilometres reimbursed).

Key Responsibilities

  • Support client with community access (shopping, social activities, medical appointments).
  • Assist with domestic tasks such as light cleaning, cooking, and household routines.
  • Provide daily living and personal care supports as required.
  • Transport client safely using your own reliable vehicle (km allowance provided).
  • Accurately complete progress notes and incident reports in line with NDIS standards.
  • Encourage independence, build skills, and support overall wellbeing.

Requirements

  • Experience supporting people with schizophrenia or mental health conditions (preferred).
  • Certificate III/IV in Disability, Individual Support, Community Services, or equivalent (preferred).
  • Previous experience in disability support, mental health, or community services preferred but not essential.
  • Training and supervision provided for the right candidate.
  • Ability to write clear progress notes and incident reports.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (mandatory).
  • Working With Children Check (mandatory).
  • Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module Quality, Safety and You (mandatory).
  • First Aid & CPR certificate (or willing to obtain).
  • Current driver's licence and own reliable vehicle (mandatory) – km allowance provided.
  • Comprehensive car insurance (desirable).
  • Strong communication skills, cultural awareness, and a respectful, trauma-informed approach.
