About the Role:

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and execute end‑to‑end category strategies, processes, and systems to maximize efficiency, compliance, and cost control.
• Proven experience in procurement and category management with track record of delivering cost savings and supplier value.
• Strong data‑driven decision‑making skills; ability to analyse data, trends and metrics to shape strategy and deliver profitability.
• Develop and execute data driven strategies that grow category performance, profitability, and market share.
• Excellent negotiation skills, with experience securing favourable trading terms and nurturing supplier relationships.
• Ability to build and nurture strategic supplier relationships and manage contract, category strategies end‑to‑end and mitigating supply risks.
• Experience maintaining accurate product & stock data, with strong systems/tools proficiency for procurement, forecasting and inventory management.
• Understanding of product lifecycle management and market trends, enabling informed core ranging and promotional activity decisions.
• Provide leadership through coaching, mentoring and strengthen procurement capabilities, commercial acumen, and product knowledge across the team.
• Ensure all stakeholders stay aligned through consistent, up‑to‑date sharing of product information, stock availability, launches, and status changes.
• Proactively engaging with cross-functional stakeholders to influence decisions, support innovation, and unlock end-to-end value.
• Manage inventory and associated product data to align planning, execution and communicate timely, accurate product and stock data to stakeholders.
• Champion continuous improvement, optimise tools, enhance data integrity, streamline workflows, and deliver insightful dashboards.

The ideal candidate will bring:

• 2–5+ years' experience in category or product management, strategic sourcing, or procurement leadership.
• Expertise in end-to-end procurement, strategic sourcing, category strategy, and cost/value analysis to deliver results.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of shaping how product data, inventory, and launches flow across the business.
• Proficiency in Excel, inventory platforms (Cin7Core/DEAR) and procurement/business systems, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new systems.
• Proven track record in people management, including setting and achieving KPIs, leading high-performing teams, coaching for growth, and consistently driving strong business outcomes.
• Sharp analytical skills and an ability to turn data into actionable insight.
• Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and capacity to juggle multiple projects.
