Joyce Mechanical Services is seeking an experienced Component Rebuild Supervisor to lead our rapidly expanding component repair department in Mackay.

Our component division delivers fast-turnaround, high-quality rebuilds to support our clients' operations. This leadership role is offered on a 5:2 roster with 12.5-hour shifts (5:30 am – 6:00 pm), with flexible options available.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily operations of the component rebuild section
  • Supervise, mentor, and support a team of fitters and tradespeople
  • Coordinate disassembly, inspection, and assembly of heavy machinery components
  • Manage workflow, job scheduling, and parts requirements to meet deadlines
  • Ensure quality and safety standards are maintained at all times
  • Conduct quality control checks and prepare detailed reports
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and workshop organisation
  • Provide clear communication and progress updates to management and clients

About You

  • Trade qualification – Diesel Fitter or equivalent
  • Strong experience in component rebuilds, ideally on CAT machinery
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a workshop environment
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Hands-on experience with heavy earthmoving equipment componentry
  • Ability to foster a positive team culture and lead by example
