ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a Business Development Manager specializing in Mobile Patrols, you will play a key role in driving the growth and expansion of our Mobile Patrols division. Your primary responsibilities will include identifying new business opportunities, forging strategic partnerships, and cultivating strong client relationships to maximize revenue and market share.
You will also lead the preparation and submission of tenders and accurate quotations, leveraging insights into market trends, budget considerations, and client requirements to optimize success rates. Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders, you'll provide expert guidance on operational strategies to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.

• Full Time Monday-Friday
• Potential earnings of up to 100k plus super dependent on experience
• Up to $40 000 in commissions per annum in year 1 and increase annually (based on performance and targets)
• 18k motor vehicle allowance
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Business Development - Essential
• Identify, generate, and maintain new business opportunities to meet or exceed company objectives.
• Build and nurture strong relationships with new and existing clients, key stakeholders, and industry representatives.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues to ensure seamless interaction and alignment with business goals.
• Provide operations teams with insights into client service expectations to ensure service delivery aligns with client requirements.
• Monitor market trends and identify security needs and opportunities across various industries.
• Contribute to state-specific growth strategies in partnership with the National Mobile Patrols team.
• Manage pipelines and quotes effectively to drive consistent growth.
• Establish and sustain long-term, productive business relationships with clients.
• Design and implement innovative business strategies to maximize sales success.
• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge base and database of competitors, market penetration, and business activities.
• Achieve budgets and targets while ensuring timely and accurate reporting of performance metrics and other key data.
Tenders - As Required
• Prepare commercially viable responses to Requests for Tender (RFT) and Requests for Information (RFI) within your delegation.
• Provide state-level advice and support for tenders, quotations, and other documentation, including participating in negotiations as needed.
• Review business opportunities with existing and potential clients, establishing action plans and timelines.
• Create professional, accurate, and visually engaging presentations using electronic resources.
• Collaborate with state-based operations teams on budgeting for staffing levels at new or re-tendered sites.
Reporting - As Required
• Prepare and deliver monthly and ad hoc reports as required.
• Coordinate with key contributors to ensure compliance with company and client reporting standards, timelines, and contract specifications.
• Review and refine company reporting formats to enhance clarity and professionalism.
• Maintain corporate branding and document preparation standards.
• Provide senior management with regular updates on industry developments and key activities.
General Duties

• Participate in the annual performance development review (PDR) process and work towards achieving set objectives.
• Comply with company policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.

• A successful track record in business development, sales, or account management within the security services industry, preferably in mobile patrols.
• In-depth understanding of mobile patrol operations, industry trends, and client needs.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to identify opportunities, develop actionable plans, and deliver measurable results.
• Self-driven and goal-oriented, thriving in fast-paced and dynamic environments.
• Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant business tools.
• Strong negotiation and closing skills, with the ability to secure high-value contracts.
• Creative thinker capable of offering innovative solutions tailored to client needs.
• Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, delivered to a professional standard.
Qualifications & Experience
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in business development or sales roles.
• Proven success in achieving sales targets and building a robust client portfolio.
• Experience managing strategic partnerships and navigating complex sales cycles is highly desirable.
• A current and valid driver's license.
