Are you an experienced and passionate chef looking for a leadership role with purpose? HillView Aged Care in Ashmore is seeking a Head Chef to oversee our kitchen operations and deliver exceptional dining experiences for our residents. Key Responsibilities

As Head Chef, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and performance of our kitchen, including:

  • Leading and managing the daily operations of the kitchen.
  • Preparing nutritious, homestyle meals that meet dietary, cultural, and texture-modified requirements.
  • Stock control and ordering
  • Maintaining food safety, hygiene, and infection control standards.
  • Training, mentoring, and supervising catering staff.
  • Working collaboratively with care teams to support residents' health and wellbeing.
  • Ensuring the kitchen remains a safe, clean, and efficient working environment.

About You

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated chef who brings both technical expertise and a passion for aged care. You will have:

  • A trade qualification in Commercial Cookery (Certificate III or higher).
  • Proven experience as a Head Chef, ideally in aged care, healthcare, or large-scale catering.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of food safety, IDDSI, and compliance requirements.
  • A compassionate, resident-focused approach to food service.
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities.
