We are seeking a remarkable Lawyer to join our high performing Commercial Litigation Brisbane team

This role provides the successful candidate with the opportunity to:

The role

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity for a Lawyer (3-6 PQE) based in our impressive Brisbane office. This exciting opportunity sits within our market-leading Commercial Litigation practice under Partner Chris Erfurt. Chris and his team have a well-respected reputation in the market and are considered as trusted advisers to various government and blue-chip corporate clients.

This role will involve mostly working on the defence of personal injuries claims in the educational, manufacturing and resources sectors.  Responsibilities will include drafting correspondence and court documents, reviewing and preparing evidence, assisting with advice and interaction with Counsel, and managing the defence and resolution of claims in Queensland and other jurisdictions under the supervision of market-leading senior team members.

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Between 2-6 years' experience as a Lawyer
  • Commercial litigation, contentious and regulatory experience, ideally including experience handling personal injuries matters
  • Strong academic achievements
  • Familiarity with Supreme Court litigation
  • Ideally, previous experience working with government clients
  • Thrive in an environment that values independence balanced with a collaborative approach, initiative, and a strong work ethic
  • A strong focus on delivering exceptional client service
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills; required for building effective client relationships and contributing to a positive team environment
  • An appetite to learn and develop in the role, utilising mentoring opportunities from senior team members
