Altitude is seeking a Senior Engineer - Network & Infrastructure Performance, to join a trusted provider delivering reliable broadband across rural, regional and remote Australia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and optimise access across NBN POIs and Opticomm hubs, including CVC sizing and VLAN handoff
  • Engineer and manage BNG platforms (Cisco, Juniper, or Linux-BNG) for PPPoE/IPoE, DHCP, and RADIUS
  • Design resilient Layer 2 segmentation with VLAN, QinQ, LACP, and MLAG on Cumulus Linux
  • Build and maintain in-house Linux network services and automation using Ansible and Git
  • Monitor, analyse, and optimise performance with advanced telemetry, observability, and packet analysis tools.

Key Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in ISP access/aggregation operations
  • Strong NBN/Opticomm exposure
  • Expertise in large-scale Layer 2 networks and Cumulus Linux environments
  • Hands-on experience with BNG operations, subscriber QoS, and policy enforcement
  • Proficiency in Linux networking, automation (Ansible, scripting), and monitoring stacks (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK/Graylog)
  • Strong troubleshooting, technical leadership, and ability to mentor teams.
