Disability Support Worker

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Workers to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality support to individuals with disabilities, helping them achieve their goals, maintain independence, and actively participate in their communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, hygiene, dressing, meal preparation, and mobility support.
  • Support clients in accessing the community, attending appointments, social events, and recreational activities.
  • Implement individualised care plans and support strategies in accordance with NDIS plans or other relevant frameworks.
  • Promote independence, choice, and inclusion for clients in all aspects of life.
  • Record and report observations, incidents, and progress accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Assist with household tasks, medication management, and other duties as required.
  • Work collaboratively with family members, healthcare professionals, and other support staff.
  • Uphold the rights, privacy, and dignity of clients at all times.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience working with people with disabilities preferred but not essential (full training provided).
  • Understanding of NDIS frameworks, policies, and procedures.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transport may be required.
  • Working with Children Check and/or National Police Check clearance.
