About The Role
UGL is seeking an experienced
Project Engineer (E&I)
to join our team in Kwinana, and contribute to a challenging range of electrical and instrumentation projects in the resources sector.
You will oversee the technical and administrative aspects of projects to ensure high-quality, safe, and efficient delivery in compliance with client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with UGL safety policies, perform risk assessments, and encourage a culture of safety across all project teams.
- Provide technical advice, support, and guidance throughout the project lifecycle, from tendering and planning to testing and delivery.
- Collaborate with project teams to meet project milestones, manage schedules, and handle client-submitted materials.
- Assist in preparing and reviewing Inspection Test Plans (ITRs) and associated project-specific procedures.
- Manage compliance with quality management systems and client requirements.
- Support procurement and subcontractor management processes.
- Prepare reports, documentation, and maintain effective communication with internal teams, clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
- Perform site inductions and enhance team capabilities through active participation in learning and development initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement in processes and maintain compliance with industry best practices.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (or equivalent qualification/experience).
- Minimum of 7 years' experience, including at least 3 years in a project engineering capacity within the construction industry.
- Expertise in AS/NZS 3000 and AS/NZS 60079 standards.
- Strong project management knowledge with proven leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills, along with resilience, conflict resolution, and negotiation capabilities.
