We provide high-quality testing services that support the design, construction, and safety of some of Australia's most iconic infrastructure projects. Due to continued growth and success, we are seeking entry-level Technicians to join our team, receive mentorship from our geotechnical experts, and grow with us.


The Position

Are you ready to kickstart your career? We're looking for a motivated and reliable individual to join our Brisbane Laboratory (located in Wacol) as a Casual Lab Technician. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity offering:

  • On-the-job training
  • The opportunity to complete a company-funded Certificate III in Laboratory Skills
  • A clear pathway to full-time employment for the right candidate

About the Role

As an Entry-Level Technician, you will work under the supervision of senior staff and the Laboratory Manager. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in soil, aggregate, and concrete preparation
  • Performing basic laboratory testing
  • Supporting field technicians on local construction projects and quarry sampling
  • Conducting laboratory preparation and site sampling across our full scope of accreditation in accordance with AS1289, QLD Main Roads, AS1012, and AS1141

From preparing samples to testing on major infrastructure projects, we foster a culture of integrity, diligence, and high performance. Our clients rely on us to help manage construction risk effectively.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with soil preparation, basic lab testing, and field sampling
  • Prepare samples for processing and testing
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Maintain high standards of quality
  • Demonstrate motivation and the ability to work independently
  • Uphold safety, quality, and company policies
  • Show exceptional attention to detail
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Report non-conforming work in line with company procedures

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Australian work authorisation
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Physical ability to lift heavy loads repeatedly
  • Mathematical aptitude
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Reliability and punctuality
  • Ability to follow procedures and work practices
  • Willingness to learn and undertake formal training (provided by the company)
  • A current driver's licence
  • Ability to pass drug and alcohol screening
  • Construction Blue Card/White Card
