**The Opportunity**
**Responsibilities**
As an **Electromagnetic Effects/Communication and RF technician** with the BDA, you will:
- Work across a wide variety of platforms, both internally and with our external Aerospace customers
- Conduct test, and verification of EMI/EMC customer requirements across multiple defence programs and commercial customers
- Develop Test Procedures and Test Reports
- Advise customers on EMI/EMC analysis and mitigation mechanisms to assure compatibility and safety of new and existing systems and interfaces
- Conduct EMI/EMC testing of hardware and software systems in both lab and in field environments to verify adherence to MIL-STD-461/464
- Perform HIRF/Lightning, RF COSITE, Antenna Coupling & RADHAZ analysis and test
- Contribute to the open, inclusive and innovative team culture
- Domestic travel may be required
**To be considered for the Engineering role (Required Skills/Experience) you will have**:
- Tertiary degree qualification in an engineering or related technical discipline
- Desirable previous experience with MIL-STD-461/464
- Previous EMI/EMC test experience in a lab environment
**To be considered for the Technician role (Required Skills/Experience) you will have**:
- 3-5 years experience in the EME domain is desirable
- Desirable previous experience with MIL-STD-461/464
- Previous EMI/EMC test experience in a lab environment
**Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security requirements.**
You may require a Foreign Work Authorisation (FWA) in order to perform this role. This is not a requirement set or determined by Boeing but by the Department of Defence under laws issued in 2024. Please refer to the Department of Defencewebsite to understand these requirements.
