Summary:

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Workers to provide assistance and support to individuals with disabilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting participants with daily living activities, providing emotional support, and promoting independence and community integration.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist participants with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to participants
  • Assist participants with mobility and transportation needs
  • Administer medication and monitor health conditions
  • Assist with meal preparation and household tasks
  • Implement individualised support plans
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure the best possible care for participants
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation

Qualifications:

  • Certification in disability support or related field preferred
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Compassionate and patient demeanour
  • Ability to handle challenging behaviours and situations
  • Knowledge of disability rights and advocacy
  • Knowledge of IT systems
