About the Role

Woodside is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented
Weekend Marketing Operator
to support gas pipeline operations during weekends and public holidays. This role plays a key part in maintaining the reliability and efficiency of scheduling and customer communications outside standard business hours.

Core Business Hours

  • Friday:
    8:30 AM – 2:30 PM (6 hours)
  • Saturday, Sunday & Public Holidays:
    Morning: 8:30 AM – 10:30 AM (2 hours)
  • Afternoon: 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM (3 hours)

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule pipeline gas operations to meet business-critical deadlines.
  • Manage intraday nomination requests and process late changes.
  • Issue customer notices and update documentation as needed.
  • Respond to planned and unplanned pipeline-related events.
  • Act as the primary contact via duty phone during business hours, liaising with customers and facilities.

Ad-Hoc Responsibilities

  • Provide coverage during extended leave or major operational events.
  • Handle unexpected operational issues as they arise.

Requirements

  • Availability to work weekends and public holidays.
  • Ability to work under time pressure and manage uncertainty.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks while applying sound critical thinking.
  • Effective communication skills for internal and external stakeholder engagement.
  • Prior experience in gas scheduling, operations, or similar fields is advantageous.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, or related field (desirable but not essential).
  • Experience in contracts management, finance, or production planning in complex environments.
  • Familiarity with pipeline scheduling, gas nominations, and industry-specific processes.
  • Advanced Excel skills (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).

Additional Information

  • Structured training will be provided.
  • Additional hours beyond standard requirements will be compensated.
  • This role replaces a previous weekend operator position, contributing to team capability-building.
