About the role
Community Connection is seeking a motivated and experienced individual to join our team in Townsville as Lifestyle Assistant Trainer. As a Lifestyle Assistant Trainer, you will play a vital part in supporting and empowering our team and individuals to live their best lives.
What you'll be doing
- Delivering training to equip Lifestyle Assistants with the skills and knowledge to provide high-quality support to our individuals
- Assisting with the development and review of training materials and resources
- Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of training programs, and making recommendations for improvements
- Providing one-on-one coaching and mentoring to Lifestyle Assistants to enhance their performance
- Collaborating with the broader support team to ensure a cohesive and coordinated approach to individual care
What we're looking for
- Minimum 3 years' experience within the disability support sector
- Strong facilitation and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and motivate diverse audiences
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and work collaboratively
- Training or Experience in any of the following - PART (Predict, Assess, and Respond to Aggressive/Challenging Behaviours); Behavioural Assistant, Occupational Therapy, Mental Health, Support Worker, Nursing, Workplace Health and Safety and working with complex behaviours.
Requirements for Role
- Cert III in Individual Support
- You will hold a current First Aid & CPR (or willing to obtain), NDIS Workers Screening Card (Yellow card), Working with Children Check (Blue Card) driver's license, reliable vehicle with insurance.
