Shoal Bay Country Club is an iconic coastal venue that blends laid-back beach vibes with lively hospitality. We host a bustling bistro and a Greek restaurant, multiple bars, gaming operations, live entertainment, functions and late-night trade — all against the stunning backdrop of Shoal Bay's ocean views. As we rapidly grow and expand, we're searching for a Licensee who is ready to step into a high-impact role and drive our next chapter of growth.

The Opportunity

This role offers a rare opportunity to thrive and grow your hospitality career. Reporting directly to the General Manager and collaborating with the management team, you will have the opportunity to lead day to day venue operations which will be varied and integral to delivering exceptional experiences to our customers. In addition, you will nurture and lead a passionate and driven hospitality team, inspiring them to thrive everyday.

About You

You will be a positive and passionate leader with a demonstrated history of leading teams in venues of a similar size and scope in all outlets including bistro, bars, and gaming operations in high volume, late-night trading venues. This is a hands-on operational role, where you will be required to work alongside teams to deliver exceptional experiences whilst complying with company policies and NSW legislative requirements. In addition, you will need to have the following experience and skills:

  • Demonstrated General Manager or Licencee experience in large multi-faceted venues; experience managing large, late night trade is an essential requirement for this role
  • Flexible and available to work a dynamic roster including weekends, late nights and public holidays depending on the demand of the business
  • Demonstrated experience leading large and dynamic teams fostering a culture that drives high performance, engagement and accountability
  • Strong focus on compliance with demonstrated strong relationships with Licensing and Police
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to manage P&L, budgets and reporting
  • Ensure the business, its practices, and staff adhere to all relevant laws, regulations and company policies
  • Experience leading a management team of 15+ by providing clear and consistent direction while promoting our core values
  • An eye for detail across all facets of the venue operations
  • Experience using Deputy and IdealPOS would be desirable
  • Current NSW RSA/RCG/ARCG/Licensee & Advanced Licensee is mandatory
