About the Role
As a Java developer within the organisation, you will work as part of a team to deliver solutions for business and maintain current business applications.
Responsibilities
- Develop software applications to meet business requirements.
- Support Corporate Systems Branch projects/programs using Java.
- Adhere to the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile development practices.
- Perform code reviews and provide quality assurance.
- Estimate development efforts for new applications and changes to existing systems.
- Contribute to application/system and database design.
- Develop and maintain system documentation.
- Address architectural issues to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
- Participate in scrum meetings and daily stand-ups.
- Collaborate closely with business analysts, testers, and stakeholders.
- Facilitate knowledge transfer and upskilling within the team.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Java development.
- Experience with SDLC and Agile methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with database design and management.
- Familiarity with application/system architecture.
