We are a family owned Engineering Company based in Kilsyth, manufacturing high quality products from Mild Steel, Aluminium, Stainless Steel and Brass. With over 35 years of continuous operation, we've proudly contributed to some of the most iconic shop fitting and highly certified rail projects in the state.
We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Engineer to join our Production Office in a full-time, permanent position.
About the Role
This is a cross-functional role offering exposure to a wide range of duties across quality, production, drafting, administration and engineering. You will report to the Managing Director and Accounts Manager, working closely with both our internal team and external stakeholders.
This position is ideal for a Graduate Engineer looking to gain invaluable industry experience in a hands-on environment, while also being suitable for someone with prior experience in manufacturing or design.
Key Responsibilities
- CAD design using SolidWorks, focusing on Sheet Metal, Weldments and Assemblies.
- Assist with production planning and quality control.
- Support material ordering and procurement processes.
- Liaise with floor staff and customers on technical and production issues.
- Prepare and maintain documentation and records related to production and quality.
- Manage and prioritise tasks to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelors/Masters in Engineering or Design.
- Proficient in SolidWorks (required) & Draftsight (required)
- Familiarity with sheet metal design, assemblies and weldments.
- Understanding of fastening systems, metals and fabrication processes.
- Strong communication skills - written, verbal and interpersonal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management.
- Experience with ERP/MRP software highly regarded.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
