We are seeking a Finance Administrator – Accounts Payable to work with our client in the State Government space.

Location: Geelong / Melbourne CBD

Salary: $97,955 + Super 

Initial term: 6 months (with 12-month extension likely)

Start:ASAP

Join a collaborative and flexible finance team in a role that combines hands-on accounts payable with systems administration and stakeholder engagement. This position has become available due to an upcoming retirement, offering the opportunity for a full handover and a smooth transition into the role.

You'll be part of a small, supportive finance group working across multiple areas of the business — from ship traffic control operations to broader corporate services — helping ensure payments and financial processes run smoothly and efficiently.

The Role As the Finance Administrator, you'll be responsible for:

  • Managing end-to-end accounts payable, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and on time.
  • Maintaining the financial system (TechOne Ci Anywhere) and assisting users with queries.
  • Supporting tax compliance including GST, PAYG and reporting obligations.
  • Reconciling accounts and managing vendor authentication and EFT payments.
  • Assisting with system upgrades, data integrity and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Providing exceptional internal customer service across a wide range of business areas.

About You You're detail-oriented, tech-savvy and take pride in providing great service. You bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in accounts payable and finance administration.
  • Confidence working within ERP systems (TechOne CI Anywhere highly regarded).
  • Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills.
  • A proactive mindset, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
  • A collaborative, can-do attitude and the ability to adapt across different teams.

A certificate or diploma in accounting or business is desirable but not essential.
